Do the movies can depict the symptoms of psychological disorder?

It is a matter of fact that Bollywood industry is a facet of depicting the such phrases and situations that can impact psychologically upon the mental level of the people as it is deemed the best genre of entertainment which is accurate an easy to pass the leisure time. Bollywood films or movies are the means to depict the real life and that was developed in the United States. If the negative situations are presented by the antagonist of the film then it will be possible that his actions can leave the harmful effects in the minds of the people and urge them psychologically to do the things whatever they want. Some of the movies and the songs come up with such stories that are based on emotional and mental cases. Most of the people get inspiration from these stories and try to imply such things in their real life.

Does the young generation have only influenced from these movies or the kids too?

Not only the adults or matured people but also the children are mentally attacked by these movies and their plots. The very first movie, ‘The Great Train Robbery’, a Hollywood film that is considered as the root of all violences along with its theme that is although true to its nature but it is based on robbery and at the end of the movie they have shown the blood-spattered massacre. The movies and the old songs have the positive remarks in the realm of Indian film industry. Most of the Bollywood movies have enthralled with such logical aspects as like mental retardation, the Obsessive compulsive disorder, personality and identity disorder, pervasive developmental disorder, agoraphobia etc.

All these psychological disorders have been discussed in the Bollywood films which are produced in a large number every year. Many Bollywood films have been produced to depict the mental disorder or the milieu of the various themes. There are many movies that are searched by the disorder of the tended such as Ghajini, Murder 2, Jub Tak Hai Jaan, Ek Villain, Mumbai Police, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and many others. Back to 2011, the psychological thriller movie, Murder 2 has widely been discussed as it is associated with the mental conditions as well as psychological point of views of the person.

Murder 2 is one of the finest crime stories produced by the Hindi film industry. It is the sequel of the famous movie of 2004, Murder. The sequel of the movie has many expectations that one can associate with the real life and is considered as mysterious as its prequel. In this movie, the male protagonist Emraan Hashmi has a mission, as an ex-police officer, to find out the prostitutes who are missing one by one. Dheeraj, the person who is a serial assassin and involved in this murder case; he calls the prostitutes at his home and kill them without having any sex. Dheeraj is a psychopathed killer who is the responsible for all these murders, since he had decided to kill the girls viciously as cutting them into pieces and throw them in gutters or wells.

This is the psychological case that is revealed by this actor (Prashant Narayanan). The dialogues of the criminal (Dheeraj) are so powerful and convincing that are enough to impact the inner state of the mind of the people. The movie is based on the relative subjects that are shallow and complete to depict the issues of the modern era. The delicacies of dialogues, the crucial scenes and the psychological matters that are intertwined with each other in this movie and can change the mind of an abnormal person. This film has collected various critical appreciations as Komal Nahta has stated,

“It doesn’t have too much to offer in terms of entertainment as it is a dark film but its plus points are the abundant sex scenes and the good music. Its reasonable budget on the one hand, and wonderful recovery from sale of its satellite, music and worldwide theatrical rights on the other have ensured that the producers have made a handsome profit before release. ”

The Psycholgical Impacts upon the Young Generation:

The movies that are produced in order to provide entertainment for the people, can also change our mental states and divert them into a fictional world. The young generation, therefore, is moving towards these concepts and ideas rapidly. The rape cases are increasing in numbers, especially in India as well as all over the world. Such kind of psycho patients easily target the girls and kill them brutally with illogical reasons. The recent Delhi Gang rape case has shocked India and the people across the world. The gang was consisted of six suspects and they all got the opportunity to rape the girl in the moving bus.

There are millions of Indians who are mentally sick and they let their emotions free through such crimes. It is unfortunately that Bollywood is a largest film industry although they have discussed most of the mental issues but left the desired ones.
