Asha Bhosle’s son Hemant Passes Away

The Elder Son of Asha Bhosle has Passed Away

The Queen of Bollywood industry, Asha Bhosle’s eldest son Hemant has just passed away in Scotland. He was suffering from Cancer. Hemant was the music composer and had made a number of Indian video songs for the Bollywood. It is really sad to know about his death from this world for the hereafter that is heavenly abode.

Hemant has passed away on September 26, 2015 (date of death is still ambiguous either it is 28th or 26th) in the yard of Scotland where he was under the process of healing. This is the second biggest loss of Asha Bhosle as she had lost her daughter Varsha in past three years. Varsha who was the singer as well as the journalist, was under the pressure and depressed and that’s why she had committed suicide.

Hemant’s death was natural he didn’t take any illegal action. Radha Mangeshkar, the cousin of Hemant has said, “He was suffering from cancer for past three years… the family was in trauma since then. We did hope that he would get well. He passed away in Scotland on September 26. He was 66.”

It was the day of celebration of Lata Mangeshkar’s 86th birthday on 27th September but after hearing the news of Hemant’s death, all plans of celebrating the birthday were cancelled. Hemant was the nephew of Lata Mangeshakar. Radha has told about this celebration: “We had Ganpati Visarjan on September 27, but kept it very low key. We did not celebrate her (Lata Mangeshkar’s) birthday.”

Asha Bhosle in those days was busy in attending the concerts in Singapore. The close family friend who was at that moment with Asha Bhosle has told, “Both Lata didi and Asha tai met quietly, held hands, consoling each other. On Sunday, even as she packed her bags to leave from Singapore for Mumbai, came this news,” She added, “It reminds me of her own angst ridden song by Suresh Bhatt, composed to music by Shridhar Phadke, Bhogale je dukh tyaalaa sukh mhanaawe laagale / ewadhe mee bhogile kee maj hasaawe laagale (I was forced to count the sorrow that came my way as happiness/ It came in such waves, that I had no choice but to laugh).”

Many Bollywood stars have tweeted and feeling sorrow over his death. Mika Singh has tweeted:

Very sad news . Hemant Bhosle. .. @ashabhosle Son has left thus world for his heavenly abode May his Soul Rest in Peace.

Talking about Hemant’s career, we will come to know that he had composed the music of more over 15 films including ‘Nazrana Pyar Ka’, ‘Damaad’ and ‘Shradhanjali’. He has also produced different varieties of song in other regional languages like Marathi, Tamali etc.
