Why Bollywood is against the Muslims and Pakistan?

Islam is the Religion of Peace and  Safety

The relationship of both rival countries, India and Pakistan, have faced many controversies from the political parties. The partition of the sub-continent was based on the ideology of two nations. The implementation of two-nation theory was based on the religions that have emerged the people from both sides and thus, the sub-continent is divided into two parts as India and Pakistan. Due to some political opponents, the Indians were totally in the opposition to form Pakistan. Since that time the quarrels have begun and went its climax.

The Bollywood politics has found a new and an affective way to hit the Pakistanis as well as their cultures. The filmmakers produce some movies that are based on such biased plots and themes that depict Indians abhorrence towards Pakistanis. The Indian directors want to portray Pakistan as Islam is the religion who teaches its followers to spread terrorism. But does these grievances leveled against Muslims and Pakistanis have any authenticity?

As from the very beginning of the 20th century, the film genre has proved as to be one of the leading strictures which expresses the cultures and social affairs. The Indian movies have made it easy to grasp the ideas that the movies want to convey. The themes as well as plots of the films and songs can directly affect the minds of the audience, cultures, psychic, communities, societies, and political system. The early movies like Anarkali, Humayun, Shahjahan and Noorjehan were based on the Muslim characters but they were produced after 1920s before partition.

In the mid of the 19th century, almost after 1960s, the Indian directors have stereotyped the Muslim ambiences in their movies like Mere Mehboob, Mere Huzoor, Bahu Begam, Barsaat ki Raat etc. But in the early 1990s, the collision with the Kashmiris, the rebellions, the demolition of the Babri Masjid, and many other incidents have generated problems. The Indian cinema and other TV channels have portrayed that the Muslims are the terrorists. It appeared as a threat for India to make some changing in their political systems. Then, the Bollywood industry had paved the ways by producing the film, Roja. The film was the first that has demonstrated the issues of that time and it was based on the symbiotic associations of India with Pakistan, Kashmir and the Muslim community.

Bollywood movies portray the Pakistanis as they are the ‘Others’ and deform them as terrorists. The recent movies like Phantom, Bajrangi bhaijaan, Haider, Fanna, and Ek Tha Tiger have exposed that the Muslims specially of Pakistan are evil plotters as terrorists. But they are ignorant to the reality that Islam does not call the terrorist as a Muslim as Islam has an ideology like, ‘a terrorist has no any religion’. The verses of Holy Quran depict, “To you, Your religion (deen) and to me, My religion”.
