Shahid Kapoor’s Shaandaar Bombs; blame game begins

The Kismat Konnection star was expecting more from the film ‘Shaandaar’ after the critical success of ‘Haider’. He has left the team of his most anticipated film Shaandaar with more stunning and reeling impacts. He is actually very much upset with the outcomes and the effects that has been received from the film and its new songs.

According to the reports of a resource, “He was never convinced about the script. He did the film for producer Madhu Mantena. The two are close friends. And he agreed to do the film in spite of the flimsy storyline for Madhu’s sake. But now Shahid is fuming. Because Shaandaar has not only failed to deliver the much-needed box office success to his career, it has also brought down the reputation of his father Pankaj Kapoor.”

The reports added by saying that; “Pankaj saab does very selective work. All his recent films have claimed to be quirky comedies. But have ended up being moronic mirthless worthless comedies. More than for himself, Shahid is upset for his dad.”

The plot of the film revolves around the wedding tradition and the destination of it. The film has been released last week and it was the occasion of the Islamic long weekend of holidays. On the first of its release, the film has collected 13.10 crore and proved as the sixth biggest movie in this year of the Indian cinema. But contrary to the expectations, on the second day of its release, the demand and popularity of the film have turned down with unbelievable consequences.

With such a tragic outcome, the stars have gone into depressed mode. Shahid Kapoor has got two main reasons of depression that are related to Shaandaar. He was actually expecting the massive success from Shaandaar and he had postponed to decide the dates and the confirmation of other three offers. He stated that he will talk about these offers after the release of Shaandaar. But contrary to his expectations, the film got no such impressive feedback and thus this is the reason he has lost those three projects as well.

He is now in double depression and receiving the negative remarks from the critics. On the other side, Alia is looking less tensed and depressed rather than Kapoor. The idea of making the film ‘Shaandaar’ has been explained by the director of the film as; “The idea of making Shaandaar was to do a film with songs and dance, far away from the realistic space. It is little different from other wedding films which the youth will connect to. The film has something which is a little off and it has a bit of fairy tale feel. Some characters are blown out of proportion and they are very unreal.”

To complement his previous film Queen with Shaandaar, Vikas Bahl added, “The audiences will get bored if I keep making films like Queen again and again. Why would they want to watch the same thing again? As a director, I need to keep coming up with something different. Hopefully, like I have left Queenbehind, I hope that the audiences too leave it behind and like or dislike Shaandaar for its own merit.”

With these statements, no one can imagine that the film alike Shaandaar which is based on the real ethics and wedding destination will face such criticism and negative remarks as well.
