Sarcasm Through Bollywood Movies

Bollywood is a well-known name in the world of entertainment as it has produced a number of movies and depict the stories of the individuals in it. Movies are a complete genre of beautiful and glamorous enactments of life. Bollywood film industry has prosperous cultures as well as traditions that are enough to portray the real stories in an attention-grabbing way. The main features of life, the Indian movies depict in an attractive way to make them everlasting for everyone. Many movies are based on diverse cultures, conditions as well as numerous perspectives of the worldly life; they discuss them critically and hit them through sarcasm.

Sarcasm is a literary term that is used in a specific situation when you want to pass some bitter expressions or remarks and want to taunt someone else. It is done with the intention of contempting someone. It might not be as much ironic as the other components like irony or satire has contained the ironical features. Somehow, it has some distinctive qualities that are helpful to characterise the persons according to their tempers. It requires proper attention of the person to understand the hidden meanings that are being spoken. There are many forms of brains lacking with certain sophisticated perceptive.

The old indian movies as well as old indian songs have encompassed such typical genres to expose the reality of the world. A few years ago, in 2007 the Bollywood industry has made a satirical movie ‘Cheeni Kum’, featuring with superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Tabu, Paresh Sehgal and many other co-stars. In this movie, Amitabh Bachchan played another brilliant character to amuse the audiences through sarcastic humor from all over the globe. A high sarcastic element in this movie is that the mutual understanding of both Amitabh and Tabu lead them towards a terrific tragedy. The story of the movie has reached its climax when the male protagonist prevails the heart of the female protagonist but at the same time he has lost someone special who was very close to him.

Another upcoming movie that has similar features of sarcasm. ABCD 2 is an indian movie that is directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Walt Disney Picture. This movie is not released yet but is scheduled to be released on 26th June,2015. ABCD 2 is a story of two persons that are disguised with both womanly as well as manly woman features. It is also considered that this movie has ironic elements to fulfill the requirements of sarcasm. Besides these movies, there are also a number of Bollywood movies encompasses P Se Pm Tak, PK, Welcome To Karachi etc.
