Bollywood Folk Songs: Indian Movies Embraced and Made its own


Bollywood music is a very beautiful genre to depict all the diversities of traditions and values of the native people. Every song has such lyrics and music to give delight to the audience. These songs can delicately speak for traditions, customs and the relationship or the beauty of the cultures. For many years, Bollywood industry has produced a number of songs in their item movies and many of these songs are categorized as folk songs alike. Folk songs are considered as the basic need of Bollywood industry as it has contributed its chief role in the promotion of the industry. So, the folk songs cannot be separated from the Indian cinema and the Indian film industry can count on this genre at the time of need.

Indian folk songs have the quality to manifest a vast nation of India and many of other countries as well to amuse them. There are various kinds of folk music which can be celebrated during different occasions such as in the field works, farms, marriage ceremonies, religious festivals, funerals and on some other occasions. Indian movies are rich with such folk songs to entertain the audience and the modern generation through splendid composition of music and lyrics, and also with superb dance steps. The Indian movies including Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK, Fitoor, Lamhe, Cocktail, Khoobsurat, Happy Ending, Hum Dill De Chukay Sanam, Dor, Dilli 6 and many other movies have folk songs to illustrate their culture. Besides these songs, the other classical or top 10 songs cannot compete with this genre as it has its own place in the hearts of the public. Folk musicians have contributed their talents through primarily instruments such as Dholak, Ektar, Nal Daf, Rabab, Saringda, Bansuri, Khol, Chimpta, Magadi Vina, Naggada, Santur, Shankh, Pung and many other instruments.
