The modern dilemma relies on the very popular line of Shakespeare, ‘to be or not to be’. This line has become as the important part of the life of every common man. The Bollywood stars are seemed in this dilemma with such a controversial topic, to kiss or not to kiss. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has identified the kissing scenes as they are not as much essential to pretend in the films.
The most Casanova person of the Bollywood industry Salman Khan who has produced his new film ‘Hero’ and introduced new faces of Aditya Pancholi’ son Sooraj as well as Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya. Rumor has it that the opponent of kissing scenes Salman Khan has produced kissing and romantic scenes in it. Favoring to no-kissing scenes, Salman has made his statement, “There is no kissing scene in the film. We wanted to put one but they (filmmakers) refused. I have not done kissing scene [generally]… how can I ask them [Sooraj and Athiya] to do it. I don’t think they also wanted to do a kissing scene."
Salman Khan came up with innovative ideas for introducing new faces as he did. He is of the view that there is no need to cast superstars to make the film successful or blockbuster rather it can be hit for its universal plot. He asserted: “Sooraj Barjatya [director of Maine Pyaar Kiya] at that time was not an established face but he produced Salman Khan in the industry. It is about how good the film and its music is. The audience response makes films successful and make stars."
He added, “It [established actor promoting newcomers] could also turn the other way round. Salman is producing the film but not acting in it. It could work against us. If Karan Johar or Aditya Chopra would launch newcomers, then people would like to see that film of newcomers. I am here promoting is a big scare."
Salman Khan doesn’t bother about the budget and said. “I did not care about the budget… If I cared I would have made it disastrous. Their journey starts from this film so we did not want to leave any stone unturned. As a hero I will do work for another 35, 40 years. It should not happen that people point fingers at me."
While producing a new film, Salman did not include any kissing scene in the film. There is much gossips about the kissing scene that has been deleted from the film, Hero. It is said that the most romantic film, ‘Hero’ has had kissing scene between the novice characters Sooraj and Athiya but that scene was deleted by the producer of the film. Although Salman has introduced newcomers among the upcoming generation and provided them a new stage through which they can show their talent. But he did not prefer any unessential element in the film to make it more popular.
It is the vital and foremost thing of Salman Khan’s personality that moves and attracts the families and urges them to watch his movies and new songs. He is still producing such films in which one cannot find any notorious element or feel ashamed while watching his movie with other family members. He has produced the romantic films on a large scale but each film is free from the real kissing scenes.
The executive of the film, Nikhil Advani confesses that the producer of the film, Salman has removed the kissing scene from the film, ‘Hero’ with the argument that he had never kissed during his entire career on screen that’s why he wants the same for his children too. Nikhil said, “In one of the songs, Khoya khoya, the two are lying in the back of a truck when Sooraj pulls a blanket over them and kisses Athiya. It was just a peck… A brush of the lips… But even before I could see it, Salman did, and insisted on editing it out. His argument was that in all these years, he had never kissed onscreen, so there was no reason for his ‘children’ to lock lips.”
Our Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has a very broad mind that he thinks different from the others. For him kissing scenes are not the essential parts of the films and he extracted the 30 minutes from the film. The tag line of the film is, ‘Rebel, love and freedom’. Salman has also lent his voice for the title song of the film, ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’. In the answer of the question, Salman said, “My contribution to Hero. I have contribution towards love, freedom and some what for rebel.”
To sum up the whole discussion into a nutshell, we can say that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star is not only the superhero of the Bollywood industry but in the real life too. He has a broad mind and free of thought but he is in favor to not to air those vulgar elements through indian movie songs which can be harmful for the ethics of the society. We are with him for his such a pious enactment in his movies and video songs. Thus, this is the reason that he is still being appreciated among the new as well as the older generations.
